Photo of the Week!

Had a recent trip to the allotment to take some snaps (while it’s fully robust and simply an elegant escape). One of the most enchanting plants there, are of course, the sweet peas – bursting with fragrance and splashes of colour. You wouldn’t expect much less from the sweet pea winner of 2012 now would you?

English Walk

Yes, I’m still alive! Apologies for being absent from this blog for so long.

Today was such an absolute stunner of a day, that there was no other option but to go a wandering in the English countryside (after all the sun doesn’t show itself all that often on this island so we better make the most of it). Of course I took my camera, thinking if I got bored I could at least have some photo opportunities. As it turns out, it was a very successful walk through the fairy-like woods at this time of year filled to the brim with bluebells.

There was a brief (ahem) stop at the local garden centre.

Photo of the Week!

Because of my new camera, I’ve chosen 5 photos for this week, and also because I haven’t done a photo of the week for a long time.

This was before the snow - when the weather was plain cold and dewy.

Moss and stone. For some reason moss and lichens on stone really interest me, so I’m thinking of doing a photography project on that subject.

Snow Days!

Oh my goodness, Zoe is still alive on the blog world! I apologise for my absence; work at school has been busy as well as other occupations such as piano practice etc. and of course being in the Italian Alps for my ski trip with school!

I received a brand new Canon EOS for Christmas! Wow, I absolutely adore it and am loving the quality of the pictures I come out with! Here are a couple of ones from the snowy Parkrun and other snowy scenes, which are pretty rare for Britain.

Photo of the week!

In contrast to my last post, the image for this week is also a seasonal drink, but for the opposite climate! The weather has changed quite dramatically just over a couple days from gloom and wet to bright and hot (well, this is England so what can I say). Notice my brilliance in matching the pink rose with Isobel’s rather summery frock. Finally – school is out for SUMMER!

Photo of the week!

The British “summers” are becoming less ‘summery’ it appears. So from about April till now, at the dawning of July, I have had a substantial amount of hot chocolate. I am warning you now, when you see me in the US, you may not recognise me – I will be so obese that I will roll myself everywhere like Violet Beauregard in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
